Much of a coach's week is spent on tasks that are not coaching. Reviewing footage, collating data, writing session plans, chasing feedback. These are necessary, but they are not the work.
The work is noticing. Noticing when an athlete is carrying something into training. Noticing when a group has stopped solving problems for themselves. Noticing when the environment is shaping behaviour in a way nobody intended.
Attention is the scarce resource
If AI can absorb the administrative weight, the coach gets attention back. The question then becomes where they choose to spend it.
Technology should expand what a coach can see, not narrow what they are allowed to decide.
